Appointment times vary based on your dog’s size, coat, service, and individual needs. We’ll provide an estimated time frame at drop-off and contact you as soon as your pup is ready.

Your dog’s comfort and safety come first. We’ll assess matting at drop-off and determine the safest option, which may include dematting or a shorter haircut. Additional fees may apply for excessive matting.

Absolutely! Early grooming experiences are a great way to help puppies become comfortable with bathing, drying, brushing, nail care, and handling. We encourage starting young—even before they need their first full haircut.

Yes. Our one-on-one approach is especially well suited for dogs who may find a busy salon environment overwhelming. We work patiently and adjust the grooming process whenever possible to your dog’s individual comfort level.

If live fleas are discovered during an appointment, a flea treatment will be performed to protect your dog and our grooming environment, and an additional treatment fee will apply.

It depends on breed, coat type, hairstyle, and your at-home maintenance routine. Most dogs requiring regular haircuts do best on approximately a 4–8 week schedule, while bath and deshed schedules vary by coat and lifestyle.

Our Leslie location offers grooming Tuesday through Thursday, as well as portrait sessions on Friday. Our quieter in-home Lansing location is available on Mondays. You can choose whichever location best fits you and your dog when booking. (See location description below for more information.)

Our downtown Leslie shop offers professional one-on-one grooming in a comfortable, dog-centered setting and serves as the home of our photography studio and additional Main Street K9 services.
With a dedicated grooming space and everything Main Street K9 has to offer under one roof, this location is a great fit for clients looking for our full-service experience in the heart of downtown Leslie.
Conveniently located near local restaurants and shops, you can grab a bite, explore downtown, or run nearby errands while your dog is groomed.
Lansing Shop (Near Airport)
MONDAYS ONLY
Our Lansing shop offers professional one-on-one grooming from a quiet, private in-home setting, with the same personalized care you’ll find at Main Street K9.
With minimal distractions and an especially low-key environment, this location can be a great fit for senior dogs, nervous or anxious dogs, and dogs who simply prefer a quieter grooming experience.
Conveniently located near Lansing-area shopping, restaurants, and everyday errands, it’s easy to make your dog’s appointment part of your day.
